This is a mockup for a potential bookstore named Imagine Nation, that I did for myself. The store is dived into three sections: Origin Nation, for non-fiction, factual books, Story Nation, for anything fiction related and Fascin Nation, a section devoted to hobby and interests. There are product mockups shown here, as well as what the interior and exterior of the store could look like with all the branding.

ORIGIN NATION
This green colour swirl in the master logo symbolizes the KNOWLEDGE SECTION- ORIGIN NATION. From that, a subsidiary logo for this section was developed in the master green colour and orange to convey a more earthy feel that relates to the global knowledge and information. Within the extension of all graphic elements in the design: question mark, DNA strand, hourglass and a scroll coming out of a book, it emphasizes what this section in the store is about.
STORY NATION
This purple colour swirl in the master logo symbolizes the CHILDREN SECTION- STORY NATION. Yellow is added here to create a brighter contrast with the master purple, which relates to the day and night, shine and mystery that children may dream about in fairy tales. The main swirl in the master logo was extended into the graphic elements of a wizard hat, butterfly and a crown to symbolize the childish innocence and amazement in fictional stories.
FASCIN NATION
This logo represents the RECREATIONAL, INTERESTS and HOBBIES SECTION- FASCIN NATION. The brush stroke was matched with a darker shade of blue to create a calm and relaxing feel in recreation and interest learning. The extended graphics in this logo includes a music note and a quill to represent the do-it-yourself idea for this section.

Each section logo is applied onto directory signage to show the divisions in the store. A big carpet in the middle of the store is applied with the master logo to showcase the store branding. On the left, this directory sign is located in the Children Section- Story Nation.
This shelf on the bottom right is found in the Fascin Nation section. It is a slightly curved shelf with the round Fascia Nation logo signage. The longer shelf space provides space while the side slots provide shelling for merchandise and art products.
The signage designs and banners are applied with close up graphics of each section symbol. Each banner uses the colour scheme from the master logo.

Merchandise sold in the store relate to each section. For example, aspects of the Story Nation’s symbols like a wave and stars are applied onto the souvenir products.
To match with the theme of the Fascin Nation section, I came up with a number of souvenir products which will relate to science, world knowledge, space, etc. such as a globe, book stands in the shape of punctuations, planets and melted metal.
Packaging for the globe and book stand is in clear plastic boxes with swirl designs which compliment with the branding graphic system and shows the products inside.
The design concept of the gift card cover sleeve is to show the page side of a book through the die-cut window. The bottom is the company tagline- ‘Open Tour Next Adventure’. That will prompt the receiver to open the card sleeve. After it is opened your may see that the book pages is actually the stripe pattern in the middle of the gift card. The graphic approach uses simple design with different thickness of colourful strips and colour contrast on a dark navy blue to convey a modern look.
